The Hampton Roads Chapter of American offers a study group for the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) examinations.  The courses do qualified for students needing to obtain CEU's and CEU credit hours.  The RCH and CEU hours will be approved based on the actual hours of participation by each student.

The Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Exam is intended to prepare intermediate to advanced level Payroll Professionals. This is an intensive Payroll "body of knowledge" review course requiring an estimated 6-8 hours per week study time plus the weekly review sessions.   

Any CPP/FPC who needs recertification hours can take the class once per tax year covered and receive RCHs.  You can earn up to 20 RCH credit hours for attending!   CPP/FPC Spring exam dates are March 20 - April 17, 2021, based on federal tax laws and regulations in effect 1/1/2020.

Mid-year changes are NOT reflected in the exams.

The Hampton Roads Chapter is partnering with Mel Payroll Service, LLC to offer an Online CPP Study Course.

CPP Course starts on January 12, 2021

Meet every Tuesday night from 6-8 pm.  This is a 10-week class will be focusing on topics that apply directly to the CPP exams to the attendee in gaining knowledge and understanding of the course material to better prepare them for taking the exams.  We will be using the 2020 Payroll Source available at americanpayroll.org.

FPC Course starts on January 20, 2021

Meet every Wednesday night from 6-8 pm.  This 8 -week class will be focusing on topics that apply directly to the FPC exams to the attendee in gaining knowledge and understanding of the course material to better prepare them for taking the exams.  We will be using the Payroll Practice Fundamentals, 2020 ed. available at americanpayroll.org.
