The Hampton Roads Chapter of American offers a study group for the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) examinations.  The courses do qualified for students needing to obtain CEU's and CEU credit hours.  The RCH and CEU hours will be approved based on the actual hours of participation by each student.



CPP/FPC Study Group

The Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is open to all those who wish to demonstrate a baseline of payroll competency. The FPC is designed for Entry-level Payroll Professionals. The Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Exam is intended to prepare intermediate to advanced level Payroll Professionals. This is an intensive Payroll "body of knowledge" review course requiring an estimated 6-8 hours per week study time plus the weekly review sessions.

Any CPP who needs recertification hours can take the class once per tax year covered and receive RCHs.  You can earn up to 27 RCH credit hours for attending!   FPC/CPP Spring exam dates are March 21 - April 18, 2020, based on federal tax laws and regulations in effect 1/1/2019.

Schedule -   Classes will be held on the following Saturdays from 9:00 am to noon. 

January 11, 18 and  25

February 1, 8, 15, 25 and 29

March 7

Cost -  Registration will temporarily reserve a seat but only payment of funds will secure a seat for the class.  Seats are limited and the class fills up quickly.

The class will be taught from the 2019 Payroll Source (required).  The book can be purchased from American Payroll Association-Payroll Source Store
